The THTC Commitment & EthicsUpdated 21 days ago
At THTC Clothing, our commitment to ethical practices and sustainability is at the core of everything we do. Since our inception in 1999, we've been dedicated to pioneering ethical and sustainable fashion, long before these terms became industry buzzwords.
Sustainable Materials
We prioritize the use of eco-friendly materials in our products:
Organic Hemp: A primary component in our clothing, hemp is known for its durability and minimal environmental impact. Remarkably, one hectare of hemp can absorb 22 tonnes of CO₂, making it an effective carbon sink.
Organic Cotton: We blend hemp with GOTS-certified organic cotton to enhance comfort without compromising sustainability.
Ethical Manufacturing
Ensuring fair and safe working conditions is paramount:THTC Clothing
Factory Standards: We collaborate with small, independently run factories, each employing between 10 to 40 staff members. These factories adhere to strict codes of conduct, including:

Our commitment extends to minimizing our environmental footprint:THTC Clothing
Plastic-Free Packaging: We avoid plastic in our packaging, opting instead for recycled and sustainably sourced materials for both packaging and marketing.
Carbon Footprint: By utilizing hemp, which captures 25 times more CO₂ than the same area of trees, we actively contribute to reducing atmospheric carbon levels. THTC Clothing+2THTC Clothing+2THTC Clothing+2

Our efforts have been acknowledged in the industry:

Ethical Ranking: As of 2024-2025, THTC is ranked as the UK's joint most ethical clothing company by Ethical Consumer.
At THTC, we believe that fashion should not come at the expense of people or the planet. Our unwavering commitment to ethical practices and sustainability reflects our dedication to creating a positive impact in the fashion industry.
